Registration Questions
When is the deadline to register?
Early registration ends August 21st, and regular registration ends September 25th. On-site registration will be available, however we encourage you to register early as we anticipate that the conference will sell out. Registration fees & deadlines
I am having problems with online registration. What should I do?

I need to use a purchase order to pay for registration. What is your Tax ID number? Who should I contact for assistance?
To register with a purchase order, please use our online registration system which will create an invoice for check payment. Our Tax ID # is 06-1495135. If you need further assistance to complete your purchase order, please contact Emily at (503) 954-2970, emily@foodsecurity.org.
I need financial assistance to attend. Do you offer scholarships?
Yes, we do offer some scholarships. Please read more about our Scholarships and other financial assistance options.
Can I register for just one day?
Yes, we are offering single-day rates. Please see Registration Fees & Deadlines for prices, or consider registering for the full conference as a donation to CFSC.
I am a presenter at a workshop. Do I need to register? If so, how do I register?
We need every presenter to register so that we know when to expect you and how to reach you if we have any questions. You will register online using a code we provide to you to receive your discount. You will receive an email with registration instructions. If you have not received an email from us by August 1st, please contact andrea@foodsecurity.org
Can I sign up for a field trip, the Policy Council meeting or Sunday evening reception if I’m not planning on coming to the main conference?
Yes. During online registration, select “Field Trips, Food Policy Council Conference, or Sunday Reception Only” for Registration Type, and then on the Events page, indicate which event(s) you plan to attend.
I need to cancel – what is your cancellation policy?
No refunds for cancellations are possible after September 25. No exceptions. Refunds requested prior to September 25 will be charged a $50 refund fee. Please contact emily@foodsecurity.org to request a refund or notify us of a change in your plans.

Are you still accepting workshop proposals?
No, however there are a few other options for you to share your work with others. Please contact Andrea for more details andrea@foodsecurity.org.
I am looking for a roommate or ride. How can I reach others going to the conference who might be able to help?
You can use the online bulletin board to coordinate rides, room sharing, and other logistics with other conference attendees. Bulletin Board
Are there tables available for me to display information about my group/company?
Yes, we will be offering an Exhibit Hall throughout the conference. Please go to the Exhibitor Information page to read more about it and sign up for a table.
I would like to do a presentation/performance/share some information about my project. How can I do that?
There are several ways in which you can still get involved in the conference. Please see the Presentation Opportunities page for more information.
How can I get a press pass for the conference?
Please fill out the Press Pass Request Form and return it to andrea@foodsecurity.org. Once approved, we will send you information on how to register as a member of the press.

Can I volunteer at the conference?
Our volunteer slots fill up very fast. To get more information, send an email to andrea@foodsecurity.org with the Subject Line: Volunteer Opportunities and in the body, please include your name, email, and phone number.
Will there be childcare at the conference?
No, however we would be happy to refer you to some childcare options in the area. Please contact andrea@foodsecurity.org for referrals.
Is it possible for conference participants to receive Continuing Education Credit?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer credit for the conference.
Will recordings of the conference be available after the conference?
We plan to film some workshops, plenaries and keynote lectures which will be posted online after the conference.
